After the framework has been carefully cleaned with a steam jet, the bonder is applied with a brush to cover it. The bonder paste should not be diluted with a liquid. Usually one fire is sufficient (see picture)
AP bonder
The fabrication of a metal framework should be carried out according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The framework should be a reduced form of the fully anatomical wax-up or the CAD / CAM planning.
The layer thickness for a stable and aesthetic press ceramic should be approx. 1.0-1.5 mm. Peripheral edge areas or thin occlusal areas can also partially have a layer thickness of less than 0.5 mm. These should then be supported by an appropriate spike technique. When using non-precious metal frameworks, the use of a bonder is recommended. The bonder from Aesthetic-Press is suitable for the press technique and prevents green discolouration from the non-precious metal framework. The framework should be sandblasted with 110-240 μ. According to the manufacturer, it is advisable to “degas” the metal.
