The muffle of the Aesthetic-Press system is equipped with many "extras". The conical design enables the mass to be easily removed from the mold after it has set. This protects the investment and prevents microcracks. The AP 200 and 300 are the only muffle to have a numbering system that indicates the position of the crowns within the muffle. This means that the investment ring can be devested very precisely and in a time-saving manner. The numbers of the segments are located on the bottom of the mold, the inner wall and on the underside of the mold cover. Due to a clear locking protection, the muffle can only be closed in one position. With the AP 200, up to 3 x 2g pellets can be pressed through the raised spruing channel. Due to the increased size of the AP 300, a larger amount of porcelain can be pressed. Up to 6 x 2.5g pellets can be inserted here. Here you have to make sure that you shorten the press ram if necessary and that the investment material is not filled over the upper marking line. The total height including the inserted ram should not exceed 7.5 cm. Here you can see the segments very well, which can be used as "cut edges" for devesting. Note: With the AP 200 you can press up to 6 front teeth or 4 posterior teeth, while you can press up to 10-12 units with the AP 300. Shortening the press ram: Ivoclar press furnaces With Ivoclar EP 500,600,3000 and 5000 it is recommended to shorten the AP press ram. For the AP 200 muffle, the press plunger must be shortened by one pellet size for two or more pellets and two pellet sizes for three pellets. Due to its diameter, the plunger can enter the shaft and complete the necessary pressing path. The stamp of the Zubler Vario 300 should not be shortened because the height of the combustion chamber is sufficiently high. The diameter of the plunger is wider than the opening of the press channel and would interrupt the pressing process at the level of the muffle.
